License to Carry (LTC) – In Person, CLASSWORK ONLY

Understand the legal requirements, rights, and responsibilities associated with carrying a handgun.
Learn conflict avoidance and the laws pertaining to the use of force and self-defense.
Gain knowledge about interaction with law enforcement, proper storage practices for handguns, and the implications of carrying a firearm in prohibited areas.
Develop proficiency in shooting from different positions and under various conditions to ensure effective use of a handgun for self-defense.

Duration: 2 hours in-class. You will still need to complete your LTC Range Qualification. Check available times at Top Indoor Shot Range. (Click here for the full ‘License to Carry (LTC) – In Person’ class)
Requirements: Participants must be sound mind, competent with a firearm and must pass a background check prior to registration.
Equipment Needed: A handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition (available for rental if needed), eye and ear protection.
Instructional Methods: This class is structured with classroom instruction only. Legal aspects are taught by experts in firearm law. You must qualify at a range by scoring at least 175 points out of 250 sooting at 3, 7 and 15 yards. We do offer qualification instruction by certified trainers at Top Shot Indoor Range and Guns.
Who Should Attend: Ideal for individuals planning to carry a handgun for personal defense, those needing a permit for professional reasons, or anyone wanting to fully understand the laws and responsibilities of carrying a firearm. Completion of Basic Handgun Class is preferred.
Certification: Upon successful completion of the course, participants will meet the training requirements to apply for their state’s License to Carry a Handgun. Documentation necessary to apply for the license will be provided.
